Onboarding Checklist

1. Prepare Your Products +
  • Choose which product(s) will be sold on subscription
  • Confirm products are:
    • Published
    • In stock
    • Priced correctly
2. Create your first subscription +
  • Go to Subscriptions → Create subscription
  • Select product(s) or collection
  • Add delivery frequencies:
    • Weekly
    • Bi‑weekly
    • Monthly
  • Name the subscription plan
  • Save the plan
3. Add the Subscription Widget to Your Store +
  • Go to Online Store → Themes → Customise
  • Open a product page
  • Add the Sips Subscription widget / app block
  • Position near the Add to Cart button
  • Save changes
4. Enable the Customer Portal +
  • Add Manage Subscription link to:
    • Customer account page, or
    • Store navigation menu
  • Confirm customers can:
    • View subscriptions
    • Pause / skip / cancel
    • Update details
5. Review Settings (Recommended) +
  • Review billing attempts
    • Number of retry attempts
    • Time between retries
  • Review order processing behaviour
    • What happens when a charge fails
    • When an order is marked failed or cancelled
  • Review customer delay options
    • Can customers delay upcoming orders
    • Delay options available (e.g. 7 / 14 / 30 days)
  • Save settings
6. Place a Test Subscription Order +
  • Enable Shopify test payments (or Bogus Gateway)
  • Place a test subscription order
  • Confirm:
    • Order appears in Shopify Orders
    • Subscription appears in Sips
    • Next charge date is correct
7. Review Scheduling & Upcoming Orders +
  • Open Upcoming Orders / Schedule view
  • Check:
    • Charge dates
    • Fulfilment timing
    • No unexpected orders
